Hi, I’m Melissa, Ava’s mom. I’ve been a blogger for years, including a five-year stint as the featured business blogger for the Mother Nature Network. My daughter has grown up seeing me blog, talk about blogging, and go on business trips because of my blogging career. She’s always wanted to start a blog and so one day I told her I would help her start one but first, she needed to come up with a list of 25 possible blog topics. About an hour later she handed me a list with more than 50 ideas. I was impressed and agreed to help her start a blog, but only if she put as much work into it as I do – including learning the back end.
She’s already spent some time on Codecademy.com learning Python, she’s now learning the ins and outs of WordPress, and blogging will inevitably help improve her writing.
